Faculty Services

We provide many technology resources to help faculty give their students a great educational experience.  We've provided a list of services and equipment available to staff, as well as forms put out by our department to help you get what you need.

Below are technology services we offer and how to arrange them:

Booking Labs:

There are three labs available for class use.  To schedule please email hhstech@dresden.us   Periods are handed out on a first come, first serve basis.
Available labs include:

Lower Lab: located on the Social Studies wing (17 machines)

Digital Arts Lab: Located in the Art wing (8 machines)

Upper Lab:  while this is mainly kept open to students, if you need to administer an exam or there are no other computer options available, we will sign this out.

if you need special software loaded for your class, please read the section on software below.

Laptops and Carts

We do not lend students laptops for use during the school day.  If you'd like to have your students use a laptop during class, please sign out a laptop cart.  Laptop carts can be booked by emailing hhsmedia.center@dresden.us or asking at the library.  If you need special software to be loaded on machines, please allow two weeks.  For instructions on how to request new software, see below.

Students are welcome to use any of the public machines and printers in the school, as well as access our wireless internet on their own lap tops.  We also provide you with 1 GB of space on the server to store files (this is where your files go when you save to the desktop or documents on a public machine).  These resources are to be used for academic purposes and privileges can be revoked if a student continues to abuse them.

Overnight laptop loans:  While we don't lend lap tops to students during the day, we do have a limited number of machines that students can sign out for overnight use.  To reserve an overnight lap top, go to the upstairs lab.

Students MUST have an equipment waiver signed by themselves and their parent(s) in order to sign out equipment

A/V Equipment:

There is A/V equipment available to students and staff to use for school related projects.  Students must have a form signed by their parents saying they will replace any lost or damaged equipment.  If your student has not gotten this form signed by a parent or gaurdian, they can get a form from Ms. Cassidy or Ms. Eakin in the library.
